Our School Day
Our school day begins at 8:35 am when the gates are open and staff are present on the playground. Our school day ends at 3:20 pm.
Our classes start:
Upper KS2: 'Free flow' into their classes to begin learning on 'Early Bird' activities from 8:35 am.
Lower KS2: Have a bell at 8:45 am, line up with their teachers, shake hands and enter school through the Foyer.
Early Years and KS1: These classes have a whistle at 8:50 am, they line up on the Front Playground with their teachers and enter school through the KS1 door. This door is attended by an adult.
Registers are taken at 8:55 am and after this, children are marked as late, and have to be signed in at the main office.
Our school day ends at 3:20 pm and all children must be picked up from their class teacher unless we have permission from a parent/carer.
Childminders and external after-school clubs must pick the children up from the class teacher. This is for safeguarding and communication and no exceptions will be made unless we have written permission from a child's parent/carer.
Additional clubs are organised by school and children need to have a completed permission slip to attend a club which means staying on after the end of the school day at 3:20 pm. The ending times of clubs are on the permission slip letters.
For Breakfast Club and After School Club, please contact the Office for more information about available spaces.
After School Club is a new venture for us in September 2018 . As soon as numbers are sufficient to cover costs we will consider Reception children but this cannot be guaranteed at this stage. This is due to the staffing requirements needed for under children under 5 years.
