School Meals

Lunchtime

12.15noon – 1.15pm

School dinners are cooked on-site in our school kitchen under our arrangements with Chartwells.

Children may bring a packed lunch instead of having a school lunch.  Parents are asked to ensure that packed lunches are also nutritious and do not contain sweets. Children are encouraged to bring a piece of fruit to eat during playtimes.  We do not allow crisps or chocolate during break.  Please support us to develop healthy eating habits.

In line with recent Government legislation, all children in Key Stage 1 are entitled to a Universal Free School Meal. However, we will still encourage parents of children in reception, year 1 or year 2 to register for free school meals if they are entitled as this will bring an additional pupil premium grant for the next 6 years that can be used to support your child’s education. We can also use this funding to help with the cost of school trips and uniform.

To find out if you are eligible to claim please click here or speak to a member of staff in the school office who will be able to advise you on which documents you will need to provide to make your claim. Please be assured that all the information provided will be treated in the strictest confidence and will be used only to process the Free School Meal application.

Since September 2017 we have been using ParentPay to order school lunches and we ask that parents and carers order their child's lunches by the Thursday of the proceeding week.
