This week we have published our stories in English. In maths, we have been doing the long multiplication method and we have started our new topic - the Ancient Greeks.
This week we have published our stories in English. In maths, we have been doing the long multiplication method and we have started our new topic - the Ancient Greeks.
This week we have written to affect our reader, been practising our formal multiplication and begun two new projects!
Due to people wanting to join our school, Canterbury Class have been taught by lots of people this week! We've also been working hard on solving time problems in Maths and getting towards the ends of our stories in English. We have also been rounding up our Space topic in preparation for an assembly, the first Monday back, and starting our new topic after half term.
This week we have been working with time, perfecting the first chapters of our stories and planning an assembly.
This week we have planned to write voyage stories, converted metric units of measure and written a heavenly diary entry.
This week we've been looking at these things: in Maths, percentages, decimals and fractions; in English, different types of clauses; in Science, we have started to make a model of the Earth, Sun and Moon; and we have also begun to look into the Sikh religion.
Our first week back has been a mix of story planning, percentages and visits to Space.
Our last week before Easter has been engulfed in poetry, rounding and toy making.
This week we have been turning fractions into decimals and then comparing and ordering them, learning more about planets' movements, learning and rehearsing poems verbatim and we've almost finished our toys.
This week we have been having to complete some formal assessments but we have also made sure there's still been room for fun.
This week has been crammed full of writing letters, multiplying fractions, evidencing the Earth's spherical shape, carrying on with our toy production and enjoying a Red Nose Day joke or thirty.
