School Meals

Lunchtime: 12.00 – 1.00pm​

ASPENS are our catering provider for school lunches. Aspens liaised extensively with our Trust and listened to our needs to ensure they provide healthy and varied options for our children. We hope you will encourage your child to give school lunches a try. 

Each day children will have:

• the choice of two main meal options, one of which will be vegetarian, jacket potatoes with range of fillings and Topped Pasta with a homemade tomato sauce and cheese on top 
• varied side dishes
• delicious desserts

Children with allergies are also well looked after.  Forms for those children who require a Special Diets Menu are available from the office. Once your child is enrolled, you will receive log-in details to your Swift Kitchens account to view the menu & book meals.  

Children may bring a packed lunch instead of having a school lunch.  Parents are asked to ensure that packed lunches are also nutritious and do not contain sweets. Children are encouraged to bring a piece of fruit to eat during playtimes.  We do not allow crisps or chocolate during break.  Please support us to develop healthy eating habits. We are a 'nut free' school.

In line with recent Government legislation, all children in Key Stage 1 are entitled to a Universal Free School Meal. However, we will still encourage parents of children in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 to register for free school meals if they are entitled as this will bring an additional pupil premium grant for the next 6 years that can be used to support your child’s education. We can also use this funding to help with the cost of school trips and uniform.

Please be assured that all the information provided will be treated in the strictest confidence and will be used only to process the Free School Meal application.
