School Council Visit the Houses of Parliament

School Council Trip to London – What a Day!

Our School Council had a truly fabulous day trip to London! The children represented our school brilliantly and made memories to last a lifetime.

We explored some of London’s most iconic sights, including Buckingham Palace, Horse Guards Parade, Downing Street, the Cenotaph, and Big Ben.

We enjoyed a well-earned lunch in the sunshine at St James’s Park, before heading off for a fascinating tour of the Houses of Parliament, where the children learned all about how our democracy works.

We were also very lucky to meet our local MP, Mel Stride, who took the time to speak with the children and answer their questions about his role and Parliament.

The adventure didn’t stop there – we also travelled on the Underground several times, showing excellent teamwork, independence, and resilience 🚇.

We are incredibly proud of our School Council for their enthusiasm, curiosity, and exemplary behaviour throughout the day.

Well done all – what an amazing experience!
